Hello

The DfT has recently commissioned Campaign for Better Transport to research how rail franchising is supporting local communities.

I'm taking an in-depth look at Greater Anglia and wondered if anyone connected with ENTUA was available for a chat?

Many thanks

Andrew Allen
Reply: I was aware of this, thank you, but have seen no information, so if you ahve anything I would appreciate as to where to get the details. Steve Hewitt ENTUA

whilst on an Anglian 61 this week, there was a guy surveying from Konect.....I hope that they won't come in, take this service over and drop it like they did with the Anglian 7 service to norwich
Reply: Well anything is possible as they are all owned by the same company, Go-Ahead. We have stressed to Anglian that they must give to 61 at least a year to establish anew clientele, especially heading to and from Gapton Hall. Regards Steve

Thanks for the reply including the cost of the First weekly ticket. It may be a little more inconvenient but I am saving £2 per week!

I got a job in Norwich and as I live on Beatty Road, it was ideal to be able to get the Konect 7 from my door to the city and back. Now with them pulling this service off I have to mess around getting the First 8 to town and change into the X1/X11. Bus companies just do not care!!
Reply: Morning Larry. Yes a pain for someone like your self, i can only sympathize.I see no other alternative that for you to do what you say and use the service 8 to town than X1/X11 to the city. Remember you can buy a Yar/LOw 7 day ticket for £20, which is great value. Regrds Steve hEwitt

Sir, whilst reading the Village Voice Entua has been asked by Norfolk CC for any suggestions for improved bus stop facilities. I would like to request that improvements be made to the bus stop outside Kingfisher Holiday Park on no.5 route on Butt Lane with a shelter & proper timetables board.
Reply: Hi Bill We have in fact included that stop in the list of improvements sent to NCC this last week. as they asked us for locations that we felt needed looking at.
Kind regards Steve Hewitt

Hi, I noticed the quote from you in the Mercury about the withdrawal of the No.7 from you saying that people going from Norwich to Yarmouth would take the direct route. People rely on this bus to get to Thorpe. We live in Gorleson and my step daughter goes to school in Thorpe. Disaster!
Reply: Hi Ms Burke ENTUA has been im contact with First about the possibility of running som buses on X! or X11 via Thorpe Road to compensate for this loss, but so far it is not yet decided anything. The only way after the Konect service comes off would be got into Norwich the catch either services 15, 23 or 24 that serve Thorpe Road.
Sorry I cannot be more helpful but will keep you posted oin any developments. Regards Steve Hewitt
