Hi Steve. Sorry I am late in responding. Thank you for posting my message on your message board. I would be grateful if you could keep me informed of developments in the lack of busses on Beccles Road saga. My email address is hgladden57@gmail.com
Reply: Certainly, no problem. At present nothing has developed. Tony is trying to get the two Parish Councils, Belton and Bradwell together with some First top brass at a meeting. If I hear any more I will be in touch. was wondering if you would like to join ENTUA? Please think it over we need all the support we can get!Regards Steve

Holiday makers need representation as they are the life blood of this community. They provide revenue to support local residents. They have no voice as most are here for only 1 or 2 weeks. If there is no bus service they won't come. Support a service in Newport Rd Hemsby or the camps will die.
Reply: Mr Lyne in a lot of contact that we have had with First over these changes they have told us repeatedly that the usage to Newport in the summer season has fallen away to virtually nothing, so they see little sense in serving this area this summer. Also there is a great difficulty in turning around at Newport with the vehicles they use and whilst we do not to see any services withdrawn it is hard to fight their logic in this matter. Belton has had it's doctor's surgery taken away, let's hope non-drivers don't need a doctor or dentist in the future. First Buses told me that even the bus drivers have only heard rumours of the new X11 replacing the 7 bus. Where can we sign the petition?
Reply: Ms Yeomans |I understand that the petition can be signed at BELTON PET AND HARDWARE Store. As to whether the First drivers no knowing I have no idea, but ENTUA was given the news of these changes in the middle of April, so that proves that being an ENTUA member is good thing. Anyway hopr thye information helps. Regards Steve Hewitt.

I have a 14yr old son who currently catches the No.7 from Belton (approx 7.55am) to Bradwell to get to his school. This doesn't look possible once the X11 starts. Is there any way First can keep a No.7 running at the time for the school run?
Reply: Mr Honey just to inform you that there will be a number journey leaving Belton at 0752 and operating as the 7 does at present along Beccles Road. Unfortunately there is no return working in the afternoon, though as you only mentioned the mornings I assume you have different pick up arrangements in the afternoon. I hope this answers your question. Regards Steve Hewitt

I note that we are to loose our bus link to part of Bradwell. This is a pain as all my family use the doctors and the dentist on Beccles Road and my daughter uses the No 7 to get to school at Ormiston. Why on earth do First want to send a bus every 30 mins down this new road when there is daft!
Reply: Mr Roberts we are still putting pressure heavily onto First to try to get them to arrange at least an hourly service from Belton along the service 7 route. There will be feature in tomorrows local press to highlight the problem many people like your self are having. Regards Steve Hewitt

How can First Buses abandon the housing estates on Beccles Rd. during the week.OAP's on these estates will find it very difficult to walk the extra distance, especially with shopping. Mad
Reply: Hi M Gladden thanks for your message. We have spoken to First on this matter and are far from happy with their answers. we are writing to them to tell them of our and residents discontent, so if you let me have your email address, I will keep you informed of developments. Steve Hewitt ENTUA

can you tell me and all the other
people who use the 1 &1a bus
services what will happen on the
29th may 2016 when they take it a way from us thank you all answers
please to the a bove
Reply: Mrs Runham We can now confirm that services 1/1A will continue to serve Caister, including Tessera Park on Sundays and in the evenings on an hourly basis. The number 4 will serve Tessera Park hourly during the day. Also remember you will have service 8, every 15 mins daytimes and every 30 minutes evenings and Sundays and also the service 1B from Hemsby Beach to Great Yarmouth through the summer. That means from 29th May you will have eight buses an hour serving Caister and 3 buses an hour on Sundays and two buses an hour every evening. I am sure you will agree this a very good service indeed, when villages not too far from Caister have sometimes only one bus per day! Steve Hewitt ENTUA

Who else thinks there should be a regular service from Upton to acle as we are a young family with 2 young children who have no car which means when it rains we are house bound if the field between the villages are wet
Reply: Thank you for your message. Yes I thoroughly agree with you. at the meeting we held at Caister last week, the subject of buses to rural areas was the main thing discussed. ENTUA Is talking to Our Hire about extending their flexi bus service to more places that it presently serves. If we could organise this I am sure it would help. The only criteria being you would have to book 24 hours min advance. No good if your trip is an emergency but at least it would be something. If you let me have your email address I will keep you posted on any developments. Steve Hewitt ENTUA

ANGLIAN BUS CHANGING TIMETABLES AGAIN!! HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU RELY ON THEM. HORRAY FOR FIRST!!
Reply: ENTUA fully agrees Simon. The constant change of timetables does passengers confidence in the company and its services no good at all!
